N06625 Alloy Forgings | Corrosion & Heat Resistant Inconel 625 Parts
Inconel 625 forgings are high-performance, high-reliability engineering materials. They combine the alloy's inherently unparalleled corrosion resistance (particularly resistance to pitting, crevice, and stress corrosion), exceptional high-temperature strength, excellent oxidation resistance, and good workability with the grain refinement, microstructure density, improved performance, and near-net-shape advantages of the forging process.
N06625 Materials and Properties
Composition and Characteristics: N06625 contains approximately 60% nickel, 20% chromium, 9% molybdenum, and 5% iron. It exhibits high-temperature resistance (short-term temperatures exceeding 1000°C), corrosion resistance (resistance to chloride stress corrosion and corrosion in oxidizing/reducing media), and stable mechanical properties (e.g., room-temperature tensile strength ≥ 700 MPa, elongation ≥ 35%).
Applications: Suitable for corrosion-resistant and temperature-resistant components in the chemical industry (e.g., chlor-alkali, sulfuric acid, and nitric acid plants), energy (gas turbines, nuclear power), and marine engineering (seawater corrosive environments).
N06625 Forging Process:
Process: Utilizes open die forging/die forging, which transforms the metal structure and shape through heating and plastic deformation, achieving densification (eliminating casting porosity), grain refinement (increasing strength), and structural homogenization (ensuring performance stability).
Process Advantages: Compared to casting, forgings have fewer internal defects, superior mechanical properties, and can withstand stress and corrosion under complex working conditions.
N06625 Quality Control:
Forgings must undergo flaw detection (such as ultrasonic and radiographic testing) to identify internal defects and ensure the absence of cracks, shrinkage cavities, and other defects. Mechanical properties (tensile strength and hardness) must comply with the N06625 standard.
