2.Material Overview
Alloy 926 (Dingsco Alloy 926) is a super-austenitic molybdenum stainless steel that exhibits excellent resistance to a variety of highly corrosive environments. The combination of molybdenum (6.0-7.0%) and nitrogen (0.15-0.25%) in its composition provides outstanding resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, while copper (0.5-1.5%) improves sulfuric acid resistance. Nitrogen addition also enhances yield and tensile strengths. Compared with Dingsco Alloy 1925 LC-Alloy 904L, Alloy 926 offers notably improved mechanical properties and greatly enhanced thermal stability versus alloys with 18% nickel content in the same series.
