High-Temperature N08810 Round Bar | Nickel Alloy Incoloy 800H Rods
N08810 round bar is a nickel-based high-temperature alloy, also known as Incoloy 800H or Alloy 25. It is mainly composed of nickel (Ni), chromium (Cr) and iron (Fe), with small amounts of carbon (C), manganese (Mn), silicon (Si), copper (Cu), aluminum (Al) and titanium (Ti). This composition design makes it have both high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance, especially suitable for extreme working conditions.
N08810 Round Bar Key Performance Characteristics
Excellent High-Temperature Strength:Room-Temperature Strength (Typical):
1. Tensile Strength: ≥ 490 - 690 MPa (depending on heat treatment and specification)
2. Yield Strength (0.2%): ≥ 205 - 275 MPa
3. Elongation: ≥ 30%
High-Temperature Strength: High strength is maintained from 540°C to 870°C.
Creep and Endurance Strength: Under prolonged stress at elevated temperatures, the high-carbon (800H) version exhibits excellent resistance to creep deformation and creep rupture, a key advantage.
Outstanding Oxidation Resistance: Continuous service up to approximately 1150°C in air. Operating temperatures up to approximately 1040°C are also tolerated under cyclic oxidation conditions. The stable oxide film formed by the chromium and nickel content is crucial.
Excellent carburization resistance: In high-temperature environments containing carbon-rich atmospheres such as CO, CO₂, and CH₄ (such as carburizing furnaces and cracking furnaces), it effectively resists the diffusion and penetration of carbon into the alloy, preventing embrittlement. Aluminum and titanium contribute to this performance.
Good resistance to high-temperature sulfur corrosion: It performs well in oxidizing sulfur atmospheres (such as those containing SO₂), but its corrosion resistance decreases in strongly reducing sulfur atmospheres (such as H2S).
Good nitriding resistance: It also offers some resistance to high-temperature nitrogen-containing atmospheres.
Good formability and weldability: Although more difficult to machine than carbon steel, it has relatively good formability and weldability among nickel-based alloys. Conventional welding methods (such as GTAW/TIG, GMAW/MIG, SMAW/MMA, etc.) can be used, and post-weld heat treatment is generally not required (unless required or for extremely high stress applications).
