Inconel 718 UNS N07718 Nickel Alloy Forging Ring

DINGSCO supplies premium Inconel 718 (UNS N07718) nickel alloy forging rings, manufactured to ASTM B637 specifications. These precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy rings deliver exceptional mechanical strength and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures up to 700°C (1290°F), making them the preferred choice for critical aerospace turbine discs, engine structural components, and high-pressure industrial applications.

Key Features

  • Precipitation-hardenable nickel-chromium alloy with outstanding strength retention at elevated temperatures
  • Solution annealed and aged to achieve tensile strength ≥1275 MPa and yield strength ≥1035 MPa
  • Seamless rolled ring forging process ensures uniform grain flow and superior structural integrity
  • Excellent resistance to oxidation, chloride stress-corrosion cracking, and sulfide stress cracking
  • Fully compliant with ASTM B637 and NACE MR0175 standards
  • Available in outer diameters from 200mm to 3000mm with customizable dimensions
  • Each ring supplied with full mill test certificates (MTC), ultrasonic testing reports, and material traceability

Typical Applications

  • Aerospace: Turbine discs, compressor rings, engine casings, structural spacers, and high-temperature seal rings
  • Oil & Gas: Wellhead housing rings, valve body rings, blowout preventer components, and subsea connector rings
  • Power Generation: Gas turbine combustion rings, nuclear reactor vessel internals, and steam turbine sealing rings
  • Marine: Propeller shaft bearing rings, rudder stock rings, and corrosion-resistant flange rings for seawater service
  • Industrial: High-pressure vessel flange rings, heat exchanger tube sheet rings, and bearing race rings

Forging Ring Manufacturing Process

Our Inconel 718 rings are produced through a controlled open-die or ring-rolling process from vacuum induction melted (VIM) + vacuum arc remelted (VAR) billets. The seamless ring rolling technique ensures optimal grain flow orientation along the circumference, enhancing fatigue resistance and structural reliability. Post-forging heat treatment includes solution annealing followed by precipitation aging to achieve the specified mechanical properties.

Quality Assurance

All DINGSCO Inconel 718 forging rings undergo rigorous inspection including ultrasonic testing (UT per ASTM A388), liquid penetrant inspection (LPI), mechanical property verification per ASTM E8/E21, chemical analysis via OES, and full dimensional inspection with CMM. Complete material certifications and NDT reports are provided with every shipment.
