Inconel 713C Round Bar — Vacuum Cast Nickel-Based Superalloy

Inconel 713C (UNS N07713, AMS 5391) is a vacuum melted, gamma-prime strengthened nickel-chromium superalloy supplied as cast round bar stock for the manufacture of turbine blades, nozzle guide vanes, integral wheels and other hot-section components. The grade combines high creep-rupture strength up to 982 °C (1800 °F) with excellent oxidation resistance in combustion gas environments, and it maintains useful ductility without the need for a protective coating in many service conditions.

Key Features

  • Gamma-prime precipitation strengthened: the Al-Ti-Nb content forms a high volume fraction of gamma-prime phase, delivering outstanding high temperature strength and creep resistance in the 650–980 °C range.
  • Oxidation and hot corrosion resistance: a chromium-rich, adherent oxide scale protects the surface in jet fuel combustion products, sulphidising and carburising atmospheres.
  • Vacuum melting and casting: tight control of trace elements and gas content for consistent, inclusion-lean structure and repeatable mechanical properties.
  • Machinable and weld repairable stock: round bar is supplied in the as-cast and aged condition for turning, milling, broaching and EDM into finished hot-section parts.
  • Wide service window: suitable for continuous operation at component temperatures up to 982 °C with good thermal fatigue resistance.
