What is Monel K500 (UNS N05500)?

Monel K500 (UNS N05500) is a precipitation-hardened version of Monel 400. It is primarily composed of nickel (around 63%) and copper (approximately 30%), with additions of aluminum and titanium. These elements enable the alloy to undergo age hardening, significantly increasing its tensile and yield strength compared to its predecessor, Monel 400, while maintaining excellent corrosion resistance.
