Description:

  • Composition: Hastelloy C276 is a nickel-molybdenum-chromium-iron-tungsten alloy. The specific composition includes a high percentage of nickel, balanced with molybdenum, chromium, iron, and tungsten, along with minor additions of cobalt, manganese, silicon, carbon, and other elements to enhance specific properties.

  • Physical Properties: The round bar has a density of approximately 0.321 lb/in³ and a melting range between 2415-2500°F (1318-1371°C). It exhibits moderate thermal conductivity and a low magnetic permeability of about 1.0002 at 200 Oersteds.

  • Mechanical Properties: The mechanical properties of Hastelloy C276 round bar include high tensile strength, typically ranging from 105 to 115 ksi (kips per square inch), good yield strength, and a significant degree of elongation, which can be up to 70%. These properties make the material suitable for applications requiring both strength and formability.
